There are eighty seven days before I leave for England, and I’m happy to say that once again I am VERY excited about leaving. Over the course of the last month or so I have been getting myself out of my funk and getting pumped up for my trip. I’ve been doing a lot of self improvement– eating better, exercising often, and doing a lot of reading up on trips that I want to take along the way. I’ve been spending a lot of time playing with my DSLR camera, and have been learning how to use the manual functions and filters so that I can take better photos to share with all of you! I also found out today that I will have a job for the rest of summer, which I couldn’t be more relieved about. It takes a lot of the financial stress out of the equation.
I’m currently planning my trip for the summer of 2013, where I will go through Greece, Turkey, Israel and, politically-permitting, Egypt. So far I’ve allotted four days for Athens (proper), and another one for a day trip to visit the sites around Athens. I’m currently trying to figure out which of the Islands I’d like to visit– there are so many that sound fantastic that I can’t choose! I’d love to get a few suggestions and warnings, so if anyone has any please let me know!
I’m hoping to divide the trip up into three one-and-a-half week segments for Greece, Turkey and Egypt, and then have a month or so to work in a hostel in Jerusalem. We’ll see how this pans out, and I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated along the way!
